The Summer of Family Continues… and continues… and continues….

I love summer, and I love my family, and I love my extended family, and I consider close friends, like family, and I’ve always wanted to be a part of a collegial professional “family” – like the mafia.   Man o’ man, how could you ever get sick of always having your family around, coming and going, and then coming back again…  It’s swell.

After watching movie's about them, I've always secretly pined to be a part of this kind of "family" too.

Although this Mafia could work as well....

I was thinking about this summer recently and how quickly it’s gone by, and how I complained about the weather when it was cold and dreary in July, and how much I’m complaining about how ungodly hot it is now.  Our hot little house has been a revolving door of family visits to see baby Andie, my mother-in-law just showed up in fact to help while Maggie transitions back to work.  Her arrival got me to thinking about a timeline of family visits, and here it is:

May 20, 2010 – a joyous day where our little one came into the world

May 23, 2010 – in-laws arrive

May 30, 2010 – in-laws depart

June 10, 2010 – my parents and sister arrive

June 13, 2010 – sister and dad depart

June 17, 2010 – mom departs

June 17, 2010 – arrive at in-laws

June 20, 2010 – depart in-laws

July 16, 2010 – arrive at my parents

July 25, 2010 – depart my parents

July 30, 2010 – in-laws arrive

August 2, 2010 – in-laws depart

August 8, 2010 – brother, wife and 3 kids arrive

August 11, 2010 – brother, wife and 3 kids depart

August 15, 2010 – mother-in arrives…

I’m actually pretty sure I’m missing some visits in this timeline, but this equals over 72% of Andie’s waking /non-subterreanean life (did you know that over 39% of all statistics are made up on the spot?)

You've asked and now we're revealing the secret to how Andie has gotten her amazing tan!
